BRONZE BEAUTY
The Carnegie Titanium stuns with its novel colour combination of beau blue and rich bronze. The dial has a sunburst finish that transforms when it catches the light, showing off the rich metallic bronze colouring. This is punctuated by three recessed sub-dials with a contrasting silver finish. Along the dial’s edge is a raised white minute track, meanwhile the hour markers are polished batons filled with Super-LumiNova. The handset is similarly polished and filled with Super-LumiNova, with the central chronograph seconds hand a deep sky blue. Framing this dial is a bezel made from ceramic that’s also sky blue in colour.
Features
Light Yet Strong - A durable case made from grade 2 titanium, including the crown and pushers.
Crystal Clear - The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating. There's also a flat sapphire exhibition glass on the case back.
Super-LumiNova - The dial and hands of the Chrono-Sports feature heavy applications of luminous Super-LumiNova so that you can read the time under any circumstances.
Swiss Movement - The Chrono-Sports are powered by a Sellita SW510M b Elaboré grade hand-wound movement. This Swiss chronograph calibre has 23 jewels and a 63-hour power reserve.
STORY
David Carnegie was the only UK Olympiad to have won a medal in the 1928 Winter Olympics held in St Mortiz, high in the Swiss alps at the base of the Bernina pass. Carnegie achieved a bronze medal in the skeleton. At that time the sport was called cresta, and St. Moritz had the most famous Cresta Run, dating to 1884- a naturally-formed ice skeleton toboggan track, created anew each winter.
