Chronograph Automatics

The Farer Mechanical Chronograph collection has been developed with the Swiss Made ETA Elaboré 2894-2 movement at its heart, to produce a refined and shallow-profiled 39mm case. Each of the dials is rich in three-dimensional detailing to accentuate the Farer design aesthetic, whilst a stunning clarity is achieved through the use of bold colour combinations.

The Cobb Chronograph has an asymmetrical dial design, brought to life through a distinctive colour combination, featuring a rich matte night-sky-blue dial with inset sub-dials in split colour tones of aqua. The central chronograph hand, in signal yellow, sits over the highly polished steel hour/minute stripe hands, gently tapered with pure white Super-LumiNova infill.

The Eldridge Chronograph’s use of a rare silk chocolate dial colour has a subtle metallic steel depth, changing colour into an array of dark copper tones when caught in the light. Framed by overprinted mint Super-LumiNova numerals outlined in dark blue. Punched through the main dial design are equal inset oversized sub-dials with a micro-fine spun detailing, allowing the information to be seen in crisp clarity.

The Seagrave Chronograph is defined by the reverse panda sub-dial design and clear legibility. The matte charcoal-black dial with angled inset sub-dials in pearl white, with a small seconds sub-dial and 30-minute counter are detailed in split edge markings for clear reading. Second track markings are in pure white with five-second intervals in English green framed by an angled dial flange and a blue Tachymeter scale for measuring speed.

Detailed Finishing

The 39mm case is built around the Swiss-made ETA 2894-2 Élaboré movement. This allows for a shallower outer case profile with a depth of just 12.5m, while the drop lugs keep the straps tight to create a case that hugs the wrist for comfort. Made from 316L stainless steel and finished in multiple levels of detail, with an outer brushed bezel and highly polished case edges that outline micro-blasted case side cut-ins and follow around to the dropped lugs.

Top Domed

The case design has a top domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on the front. The reverse has a highly polished stainless steel four-screw case back with flat sapphire exhibition glass, through which the decorated movement and bronze rotor can be appreciated.

Oblong Pushers

The use of the Farer DNA bronze crown has been retained, but now with a highly functional straight machined texture featuring the signature ‘A’ inset on its profile. It’s flanked by oblong steel pushers, top-brushed and side-polished for ease of use – balancing the visual appeal of the overall watch case design.

Shallow Profile

Powered by the Swiss Made ETA 2894-2 Élaboré chronograph movement with 37 jewels and 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The base of the ETA 2894-2 modular movement is the ETA 2892, one of the benefits of using this movement is its shallow individual profile, which at just 3.6mm is perfect for adding additional modules like the two-register chronograph functionality.

Bronze Rotor

The Élaboré movement is finished with fine perlage detailing and blue steel screws for decoration. But the stand out beauty of viewing the movement is the bespoke Farer polished bronze rotor - cut in with a ‘turbine’ design that contrasts against the stainless steel main movement.

Exhibition Back

The chronograph movement is framed by a highly polished 316L stainless steel 4 screw case back with flat sapphire exhibition glass. Each chronograph case holds a unique serial number with space on the design left for our complimentary engraving service and personalisation.
