HOW TO SET THE FARER WORLD TIMER

1. Set local time

For example, it’s 10:10AM in London.

Gently pull out the main crown two positions. Turn the crown until the correct time is displayed. Push the crown back in.

2. Set second time zone

For example, it’s New York.

Gently turn the second offset crown until the desired city on the outer bezel is positioned directly beneath the 6.

3. Set 24 hour time

For example, New York is 5 hours behind London so the 24 hour time is set to 5AM.

Gently pull out the main crown out one position. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the inner disk until the correct 24 hour time is positioned above the 6 and the second time zone. Push the crown back in.

4. Read world time

This simultaneously sets the correct time for all 24 world time zones by aligning the inner disk 24 hour time with the outer bezel 24 global cities.

Each dial in the World Timer Collection showcases a variety of finishes that push the boundaries of how intricate a dial can be. The main dials feature guilloché patterns that have been varnished to create exceptionally rich colour palettes that are both bold and beautiful. Then, there is the world timer complication itself, with a central rotating 24-hour disc and a bidirectional rotating bezel along the edge of the dial. You won’t be surprised to learn that there are over 40 steps in the manufacturing process of these dials, compared to an industry standard of roughly 14.

The World Timers use a sleek 39mm case that’s only 11mm thick. Made from 316L stainless steel, equipped with 100m water resistance, and fitted with a domed sapphire crystal treated with an internal anti-reflective coating, the case is tough enough to accompany the wearer on their global adventures. Just like the dials, the case features a range of finishes. The bezel and lug tops feature a fine brushed satin finish, with polished sides featuring bead-blasted cut-ins. This complex set of finishes gives the case beauty to match that of the intricate dials.

Inside the World Timer is the Sellita SW331-2. The movement differs from the SW330 in that, instead of a traditional GMT hand, the watch features a rotating disc with a 24-hour scale. When used with the rotating bezel, this allows you to tell the time in any time zone. The movement has a healthy power reserve of 56 hours and 25 jewels. As a finishing touch, the calibre has been given Top Grade finishing and a custom rotor that is colour-matched to the world map on the 24-hour disc.
