HEBRIDEAN WHALE & DOLPHIN TRUST: AQUA COMPRESSOR PARTNERSHIP

Welcome to the second series of our Titanium Aqua Compressor, a dive watch that will venture 300m/1000ft deep down with you, thanks to their patented seals. Precision timing when you need it most is essential to a diver and following on from the success of our first sanction of these pieces, we have further developed the Aqua Compressor to also offer new dial details, and a marine grade titanium bracelet.

In charitable partnership with The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) we are proud to have already raised £22,500, and with the second series of the Farer Titanium Aqua Compressor we aim to hit our target of £50,000.

Why are we passionate about supporting this charity?

Exploration and discovery is at the core of Farer and helping to keep HWDTs boat - The Silurian – in service, is close to our hearts. This floating classroom gathers important data via its loyal team of volunteers and reaches 20,000 people every year who are educated on the conservation of sea mammals in Western Scotland.

Maintaining the equilibrium of our oceans is hugely important, marine mammals make a massive contribution to our marine ecosystems and are key indicators to the overall health of the ocean. In fact, whales are important allies in the conservation of our entire planet, from storing carbon in the ocean depths, to encouraging phytoplankton blooms at the surface. Since whaling began in modern times, some species have dropped in number by 90%.

This partnership fits perfectly with our Titanium Aqua Compressor, that itself goes beyond, with its cross-hatched screw-down crowns with their own gaskets and lightweight yet strong Titanium marine grade II case, making it a versatile piece that is also extremely corrosive-resistant. The deeper you go, the more water resistance is generated by the Aqua Compressor.

The Aqua Compressor clean yet informative design style continues with this series, offering a timepiece that is as much at home 300m in the deep as it is on an adventure to your favourite restaurant. The sapphire face now features a multi-layer anti-reflective coating making the glass even clearer than ever and combined with our high-contrast dials and Super-LumiNova means you can dive with confidence. The Aqua Compressor is powered by the Swiss-made SELLITA SW200-1 Elaboré Non-Date Movement, which importantly features no ‘Ghost Date’ to make this 100% functional for diving.

For 2022 we also welcome the Leven Ocean to the line-up, meaning there’s now four Aqua Compressors to choose from and they can all be optioned with our new raw Titanium bracelet, plus all bracelets and straps now come with quick release mechanisms.
