Hopewell III and Classic Steel Bracelet For 39.5mm Watches

TIMELESS DESIGN

The Hopewell III has been pared back to the purest function of hours, minutes and seconds, to give the dial a fresh look without the need for cutting into the design with a date window. Sitting against the deep blue sunray dial are the classically shaped syringe hands finished in British pillar box red gloss that visually punch out of the dial. Balanced by a pop of primrose yellow that floats around the dial on the tip of the sweeping seconds hand. The Arabic numerals that ring the dial are outlined in a brilliant blue and set in English Brown typeface which is inspired by the original London Underground font. Meanwhile, Super-LumiNova applied to the hands and numerals ensures legibility in low-light conditions.

Features

Universal Case - The case is 39.5mm in diameter, with a 45mm lug-to-lug and a thickness of only 10.8mm, making it easy for anyone to wear.

Weekend Warrior - The watch is powered by a La Joux-Perret G101 movement. This automatic Swiss calibre comes with an impressive 68-hour power reserve.

Night Light - The hands and markers are filled with luminous Super-LumiNova for supreme legibility in the dark.

Crystal Clear - The watch dial is protected by a domed box sapphire crystal, which has an internal anti-reflective coating. There is also a sapphire exhibition glass on the watch's rear.

STORY

Named after Hopewell, the vessel was part of Sir Martin Frobisher’s fleet. Frobisher was a famous English seaman who made three voyages to the New World in the 16th Century. On his third and final voyage from Canada, he brought 1,350 tonnes of iron ore back to Britain thinking it was gold, coining the phrase ‘Fool’s Gold’. Hopewell would later become part of the Winthrop Fleet which took the first Puritans to New England in the Great Migration.
